National Leadership 100 Sunday Observed for Fourteenth Year

His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America has issued an Encyclical on behalf of the Holy Eparchial Synod designating October 23, 2022, the Feast Day of Saint Iakovos, as the fourteenth observance of National Leadership 100 Sunday. The celebration is held on the Name Day of Archbishop Iakovos of Blessed Memory, or a Sunday in proximity to it, in his honor as the Founder of Leadership 100.

Parish priests throughout the nation read the Encyclical at the Divine Liturgy and distribute materials on the support provided by Leadership 100 for the National Ministries of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, as well as for ministries in every Metropolis.

Demetrios G. Logothetis, Chairman of Leadership 100, stated:

The annual observance of National Leadership 100 Sunday demonstrates our unwavering support for the National Ministries of our Archdiocese. Leadership100 has consistently provided such support for more than almost four decades, true to the legacy of Archbishop Iakovos.

Today, Leadership 100 counts 1,218 members from a broad spectrum of Greek Orthodox leaders, men, and women of all ages from every field of endeavor. Since its founding, Leadership 100 has distributed more than $70 million in grants to support the National Ministries of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, Metropolis Ministries, and humanitarian needs in the nation and around the world.
