Hermes Expo International to Honor Four Members of Leadership 100

The highly anticipated  32nd Hermes Expo International, scheduled to take place on June 14th at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, New Jersey, will honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Greek American Community, including four members of Leadership 100, at the Hermes Expo Awards Dinner:   Ernie Anastos – Emmy-Award-Winning TV News Anchor, WABC, Steve & Nancy Kontos – Proprietors, Kontos Foods, and  Steve Tenedios – CEO, ST Management.

The other  distinguished honorees are Elias Iliadis, M.D. – Cardiologist, Cooper Heart Institute, Fotis Farmakis – Restaurateur, Riverwinds Restaurant, George Dangas, M.D. – Professor of Medicine & Director of Cardiovascular Innovation, Mount Sinai, George Siamboulis – Past President, Pan Gregorian Enterprises, Jenny Tsantilas, M.Ed. – CEO, Superior Schools Corp, Nikolai Y. Markov, DO – General Surgery, Hackensack Meridian Health,  and Sam Matthews, Esq. – President, Greek Children’s Fund.

Phil Kafarakis, President and CEO of the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association, and also a member of Leadership 100, will be the Keynote Speaker.

Ernie Anastos will be the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. Anastos is a New York Emmy award-winning personality known for his work as a television news anchor and talk show host on WABC (770 AM). He is the host of “Positively Ernie,” a show that focuses on uplifting stories and interviews. Anastos is also a children’s author and the host of his own nationally syndicated TV show, “Positively America.” With an illustrious career, he has anchored the evening news at three flagship network stations in New York, including ABC 7, CBS 2, and FOX 5. In recognition of his contributions, Ernie Anastos was honored by New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, who designated March 21 as Ernie Anastos Day.

Steve and Nancy Kontos will be recipients of the Business Leadership Award. Steve Kontos is owner and Vice President of Kontos Foods, and Nancy is the company’s controller and chief financial officer. Founded in 1987 by Evripides (Evris) and Steve Kontos, who together bring over one hundred years’ experience in the premium food industry, Kontos Foods, Inc. is a Paterson, New Jersey-based provider of artisan breads and traditional Mediterranean foods for restaurants, hotels, food service, retail specialty stores and supermarkets worldwide.

Steve Tenedios, Founder and CEO of S.T. Management Group and renowned restaurant guru will also be a recipient of the Business Leadership Award. Together with his daughter Christina Tenedios, SVP, and son George Tenedios, EVP, Tenedios owns and operates several notable NYC restaurant concepts and Corporate Catering and Events Brands, including Cafe Metro, Metro Marche, Metro Catering and Events, Cambridge Catering, Fresh&Co, and the Fresh&Co Franchise System. STMG is also the managing partner of the popular Kyma Restaurants in New York.

The Hermes Expo event is designed to showcase a remarkable lineup of exhibitors, sponsors, and honorees, as it brings together the Greek American community to celebrate entrepreneurship, heritage, and unity, and to forge new collaborations.
